Joint Statement from the 26th BIMP-EAGA Ministerial Meeting

The Ministers of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines gathered for the 26th BIMP-EAGA Ministerial Meeting on 26 October 2023 at the Empire Hotel in Brunei. The ministers issued a Joint Statement, where they noted progress in the subregion's economic and development goals and committed to continuing with initiatives to further promote BIMP-EAGA.

The ministers lauded BIMP-EAGA’s steady economic growth amid challenging global conditions, noting gross domestic product expanded 7.7% in 2022.
